lol - yes I have a sense of humor...
I love how people assume that all the EAGCers are yes men. If you heard some of my comments about features you would laugh. Go over on TSO and ask people about me...I'm often told I am mean and blunt. Justin Dewiel said I remind him of Ronnie Powers, which I don't think was a compliment.=)

I've told them I thought things were horrible, that I hate things, that features were garbage, etc, but I follow up by giving constructive ideas or changes. No one likes being told work they've done isn't good, but sometimes it is necessary. The nice thing is usually they can feed back WHY something works the way it does and the plan to change it going forward, which is something the community at large doesn't get to see. That's why we tend to be more understanding than you guys.

I'm guessing that the answer is said to be complex because it's probably not something that can ever be completely accepted by those of us on the outside looking in. We obviously have the luxury of being single minded in desire and purpose, "NFL/NCAA authenticity, by any means necessary" Most of us are intellectually aware that they don't have that same luxury, but it is a difficult thing to reconcile emotionally.

I think a lot of us are Ned Starkian in our obviousness of how the "Game of Thrones" is really played.

Let's look at all folks who have got to go down to Orlando and visit the studio. No one who returns comes back as a hyperbolic basher of all things EA Tiburon. Even the ones who still vociferously disagree with the priorities and key design decisions of the developers, exhibit a certain level of decorum. They are obviously given some insight that can never be shared via message board post.
That's possibly my favorite OS post ever.

I wish I could put it into my signature because it is dead on. When you see The Sim Standard guys come back changed men you have to understand this is a real phenomenon. We don't come back changed because we are star stuck or they feed us well.=)

That's kind of hard to believe given Ian Cummings. I believe he is a person who did not have thick skin and I feel like it got to him or something. I could tell he was highly annoyed by people who criticized the game. And he would always reply to those people and call them out. But I was always glad he was open about things and he was here on the board. I don't like how the devs now, do not post regularly anymore.

I think you just answered why they don't come here and post regularly anymore.

Because they get highly annoyed and I'm the type of person they are trying to avoid who criticize them? I don't understand your statement.

I think he was saying Ian stoppef due to the constant attacks on not just the game but his character and work ethic. I definately dont blame hjm for disappearing I work a state job and people feel the need to give me their peice of mind while im in line at 7-11 when they see my shirt and it makes me want to break their nose. We sometimes think our opinion gives us the right to express it without respect or restraint. You have the right not to disagree but not to offend or badger especially to an excess.

I never said you were the type of person they are trying to avoid. People attacked their character and work ethics and I'm sure that became personally annoying.

Venture into OS=failed attempt.
