This kind of freaky right there. But things like this happen. It ain't perfect by any means. I still play Madden11. I've seen a few weird things happen in it to.

While you all may see this as a flaw in the mechanics of the game, I am going to point to user error on this one.

While Madden is by no means perfect, we as users must make sure that we are doing our part to ensure the proper football outcomes. Now there are a couple of things that you did wrong here, TWOSILK, but the biggest one is you didn't properly use the left stick to lead the pass away from the invisible defender.

Now I don't want anyone coming in here blaming the game and talking about the invisible defender shouldn't be there. That's beside the point. I don't care that the game may not have visually represented what actually happened. The point is that there are things that the user can do to avoid this outcome.

Quarterbacks in the NFL make this mistake all the time. They'll stare down a receiver and not look far enough into the route for a lurking defender that may be in a robber coverage. In a true Tampa 2 coverage when the safeties split like that, the Mike always runs the pipe. In this case, it was the invisible defender.

So in closing, next time, make sure to use more loft on the pass, and lead the receiver up the field into the void instead of drilling the pass into the seam. And if you see the safeties split assume that there is a defender lurking in that 10-12 yard area.

This after-all is what makes Madden such a beautiful game; that it is unpredictable, that we must always as user up our football and even psychic IQ to compete. It's plays and challenges like this that separate the men from the boys.

Next time, my friend, find a way to beat the invisible defender instead of looking for a way to blame the game.
