and honestly I didnt see much difference between the vids besides graphics until this current gen. Having owned the games, i know there were changes under the hood, but the vids dont tell the story

Yes, I watched the entire 14 minutes of the intros from Madden 2001-2012. Just goes to show the devs at the time weren't ready for the jump from PS2/XBOX 360 to XBOX 360 with that horrible intro of Madden 2006 lol!

Madden 2006 to 2010 was like night and day!

Lowered expectations, bro. '09 was hyped through the roof ( "Madden NFL 09 strives to take authenticity and depth of gameplay to an new level with more than 85 new features and enhancements"... HA!), but it ended up sucking through the roof instead.

After playing '09 (not to mention '06, '07 and '08), I was ecstatic to have a game that was halfway decent in Madden '10.

you dont have to share, but if you cant understand the love for the other game, then you dont appreciate the nuances of the game of football IMO.

After coming from Madden 06-09, Madden 10 deserved love. It definitely was the best Madden on next gen at the time, and arguably the most realistic Madden overall at the time. The running animations were the worst part, but the cuts and turns are still better than what we have today.
