are you confident that without it the code will be "perfect"?

i have zero confidence in any process or organisation says its product will be perfect, its not realistic. they dumped a bunch of stuff which people liked to ensure they delivered the infinity engine. its keeps customers on the hook for m14 but you know the m12 bits wont get reintroduced in m14 because that is consistent with past performance.

i dont think we will see custom playbooks again. i think this game is going the way of young, arcade type play when an awful lot of us want immersive franchises with all the important details but personalised to suit our play. then again they are probably hoping that these people (including me) are older and therefore are less important. knock knock ea, we have the disposable income ! we are more likely to be brand advocates.

^^this. Do you guys honestly believe that the old code for custom play books would work in the completely brand new code they wrote from scratch that took two years to do? If the answer was yes then it would still be in the game with tweaks to the code to make it better. I'm almost certain that they would have to rewrite the custom play book code for the new mode which no one really knows how long it would take to completely rewrite it for CCM. Just my opinion on this.

I'm confident that the mode will work fine, can't guarantee perfect. I'm a big HC09 fan, and I believe Josh Looman, who has worked a few years on CC.

I do feel for those that use the features that EA decided not to put back in and hope they will be in M14.

So josh has worked for the last few years on cc? He found time to add a twitter feed in those years but not player editing custom playbooks or local multiplayer?

See, this is the part I just don't understand. The folks that are upset about missing the features keep feeling that Twitter is some arcade function.

Please, explain how people felt back in the PS2 days about Tony Bruno and the newspaper articles. They felt it was sim and immersed themselves into franchise mode.

All Twitter did was replace Tony Burno and newspapers and so now you are telling the same people they won't get immersed and it's not a sim feature.

Whatever.

Yes because they added tony bruno and the newspapers without taking away core franchise abilities. It wasnt add radio show take out player editing.

The point is that the attention to fluff BS took priority over real gameplay impacting features that got scrapped. You can't deny this and it's already been stated that they ran out of time. This is like building someone a house and telling them "look how pretty the paint is, but we ran out of time and so there's no plumbing"

It would'nt surprise me one bit that the online community sniveled about custom Playbooks and that got it put way back on the priority list and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if EA hasn't figured out how to build features properly without creating restrictions on how people want to play the game.

Figure out how to police the children online without impacting offline users and just create game features designed to be flexible enough to not take the title backwards by restricting the user experienc. Is it really that hard to figure out?

You need to understand though, that there are franchise mode users that don't consider Twitter fluff BS and I am one of them and I'm not alone. Twitter is replacing newspapers and Tony Bruno, that was fluff BS back then? Now, all of a sudden it's bling bling and fluff BS.

Not going any further with this, it's just keeps circling. I'm sorry those features you used are not in the game.

My understanding is either it's all in and working and if it's not working, it's not getting put back in until it is working.
