Based On Recent News, How Much is Madden 13 Worth At This Point?

Yep, I am going to more than get my money's worth. Some years you have 2, 4 off suit, fold before the flop. Some years you get the Straight Flush on the River. This is a All In year for me as I don't care about any of the stuff that has been removed, and the gameplay improvements and the CC additions are totally geared toward my playstyle.

I see your cost-to-entertain model, fully respect it ($65/400 hrs = 16 cents per hour) and there's nothing wrong that approach. Some see it like that It's pretty subjective, though. Depends on how each value things in life. I don't pay any more than $6 to see movie since I only do matinees and never buy concessions. I love gaming, but I'm not willing to part ways with top dollars for it. For me, it's $35 or less for any game or bust because at the end of the day it's just a video game. I'm just not giving EA the satisfaction of getting my dollars on this product, let alone a full $65 that they don't deserve in my opinion.

$39.99 to anyone who purchased Madden 12
$59.99 to anyone who didn't

IMO all sports games should discount this way. People that buy the year before game are not getting $60's worth of upgrades most of the time IMO.

I can guarantee you that wont be true because the hardcore gamers who like that user control are the minority. Besides RTP itself will boost sales. You can be guaranteed this Madden will be rated high whether it deserves it or not, and once they start releasing commercials showing off the new physics pre-orders will start rolling in big time. Most wont find out about the missing editing, and no 32 team control until launch when they get the game.

How about you buy two copies for a total of $120 and then you send me one of the copies? You'll only be paying $0.30 per hour of entertainment and you'll be doing me a solid .

Back on-topic I was very excited when I first saw the CC mode, but my interest has gone down after hearing about the lack of editing players, importing from NCAA (I cancelled my NCAA 13 pre-order), and now I hear that we can't play co-op in offline CC (which I spent endless hours doing in Franchise mode last year).

I already have Madden per-ordered from Amazon for $59.96 + no taxes or shipping and I get a $15 credit towards a future purchase. Even with the disappointing removals I still think it'll be worth purchasing. Hopefully after I get my hands on the game I feel like I got a $200 value.
