Madden 13- Simulation Quarter Length

Has there been any news regarding this? The main reason I did not buy Madden 12 was the lack of a simulation quarter length setting. It is very frustrating to constantly have to compete stats-wise with CPU players who are playing hour long games when I'm only playing 20 minute ones.

The game looks great so far; I'd just like some clarity on this issue.

Re: Madden 13- Simulation Quarter Length

You have been able to adjust quarter length as well as play clock run off for a while now in Madden. You can get stats that match up with the cpu with the exception of pancakes. 5 min. quarters are no good. A whole drive could take a whole quarter. Check the slider sets that people make to get a good idea on how to set your quarter lengths for stats that match up with the cpu.

I think the OP isn't really interested in playing longer games, some guys aren't really interested in sitting down for 45 minutes to an hour and playing.

I haven't heard anything about simulation quarter length, but I do think it should be in the game. I don't know why it was removed in the first place.

oh so he wants the cpu to have 5min. quarter type stats? I totally misunderstood.

Looman said they have a whole new simulation engine in the webcast that takes into account coaches style, teams playbooks, etc.. so hopefully it takes into account user quarter lengths.

Agreed. I do enjoy this about NBA2K12. If you want the whole league to play 5-6 minute quarters, it's a done deal.

I feel like the OP. I like to get in a few quick games and move along. Especially with my 6 month old son, long games just won't work in anyone's favor in his house lol

Sim quarter length does not appear to be in the game. Some of the E3 videos show the menu for Connected Career mode, and it only shows quarter length, not sim quarter length.

However maybe quarter length and sim quarter length are one in the same, that would be a nice surprise, but I doubt it.
