I'm glad the static OVR is gone, but further impacts elsewhere would be awesome. Either to impact draft ratings, play on the field, XP costs, etc.

Glad to see the new ratings, though, and the possibilities they present. Loving that Development rating especially. Might be the foundation (or the existence of) varying career arcs.
Agreed......I think adding that could change things dramatically across the board relative to the entire attribute ratings and prevent skewed positional ratings just to keep OVR in check.

I dont know why this matters. If they might have changed some attributes I would have thought it a great idea. It only changes player overall and the attributes remain the same. Overall doesnt affect the way a player plays. If I put a speed back in a power system his speed should drop because its just stupid to do so.

but ovr effects cpu ai value of a player. they will be more willing to trade/release a high paid high rated guy that isn't producing or is injury prone. that is what real teams do. look at belichek with moss and think it was richard seamore(sp). both still had the skills but one was getting older for a dlineman and one lost intrest in football

I don't really get what you are saying here because I don't think physical ratings like SPD should change just because of the system a player is in.

What I understand is that the system a player is in will have an effect on the XP they can gain, will which inherently effect their progression capabilities. Also, being in a less than ideal system will effect other ratings like production, which will likely cause a domino effect limiting how good a speed back could be in a power system.

I think that is for more nuanced and realistic than arbitrarily decreasing their speed.

This might be a stupid question because it's already out there, but can you change the type of system you run or is it already set by team or something.

I believe as a head coach you choose the system you want to run.
