Re: Just a thought...

The back of the box will have the methods of play available just like probably every 360 and PS3 game ever released. No room for confusion.

Poor example. Customization is a much bigger part of Forza, how ever any racing fan can tell you that Forza is all customization but lacks a lot of racing elements such as flags, tire wear, proper amount of cars on track, etc.
At least Madden represents football more properly even though it is lacking customization.

Buyer beware, do your research, etc. and so forth. Honestly, if anyone ends up getting bent out of shape about some changes to a video game, they probably need to put the controller down and go do something relevent with their lives anyway. No sympathy here!

It's had 20 years. When will it finally get both right? And although it's getting better, EA shouldn't break their arms giving themselves a pat on the back in the area of truly or most closely representing the NFL either, or has Madden 13 already won best sports game this year?

Yes but they can easily list offline multiplayer simply because it's available in play now.

Not everyone who buys this game follows it online for the latest news. How are they supposed to just assume multiplayer franchise has been removed? It should say somewhere on the box that multiplayer franchise is ONLY online.

There's not enough room on the box for them to list everything they've added and everything that was taken away. It's up to the consumer to some research before buying a product. If it was as simple as not knowing how a feature worked anyone could return any game for any reason and just claim they didn't expect it to work like that.

I'm as disappointed in the missing features as anyone, especially no local multiplayer in CC, but no one will be getting a refund from EA.

I agree completely, but that's the precedent I'm referring to that the minecraft situation set. You could find out online that splitscreen did not work on standard def tvs, but because this was not listed in the product detaiils when buying, the situation occurred.

Once again, I know refunds will not be rewarded. I don't think it's too big of a stretch though that enough of an uproar could be caused to possibly hurt EA.
