Oh! I forgot about this feature. It should be great as long as it's not over used. Plus with the addition of attempted arm tackles I've seen now, it should make for some sweet plays.

Re: QB EVADE MOVEMENTS...

This really should only have a little to do with tackle breaking, just like in 2k8. it should have as much to do with making small movements to avoid someone without having to touch the left stick to take off.

Part of the problem is Madden's Block/No Block system instead of engage player movement. You can't really step inside of a block. The defenders is either locked up, or free. They also don't have reach tackling like in 2k8 where someone like Too Tall Jones can grab you and pull you down while blocked... or like Justin Smith did to Drew Brees in this video I love to share:

I can't find the video, but I remember Dan Marino being voted as the #2 or #3 for "most mobile QB's." They said you could time his 40 on a sun dial... but he had quick feet and was nimble in the pocket, being able to side step defenders and step around blocks to avoid pressure better than anyone.

Re: QB EVADE MOVEMENTS...

My biggest thing is I never use it fast enough. I am so focused down the field that I simply don't check out the QB until he's face planted.

I wish a "tone" or something would initiate when pressure got to a certain distance to alert me there's pressure. Didn't Madden used to have the controller rumble when there was pressure?
It's been so long since I've played 12 I'm not sure if it had the rumble or not....

Yeah it still does but I don't think the evade works very well regardless.

But you have to initiate it right? That's where I faulter. I don't keep looking down at my QB to check pressure.
If there is a vibration when pressure is near then that will help I hope.

Re: QB EVADE MOVEMENTS...

I get it to work most of the time. I hate getting sacked so I watch the QB a lot, and time it just right.
