What would it take to get Toby Gerhart from the Vikings if I'm the Colts? I figure I would take Gerhart and make him a starter and have a ground and pound attack with Gerhart and Donald Brown to take some pressure off Andrew Luck?

Don't see it really. Allen is the centerpiece of that defense. Hernandez is great, but with Rudolph and the sizable deal given to Carlson, can't see Vikes involved in a trade where the centerpiece is a TE.

Not even close. Cleveland would want several early picks, Rice, and a key young player on defense at least.

They're going to value Richardson over Rice at this point, so don't consider Rice the best piece in this trade for the Browns.

No. RBs are valued low in the NFL now and with that injury, think the Steelers would be lucky to score a 4th, 5th more likely. Mendy is an average talent in a great offense for an RB, but he's losing ground fast with the injury.

If you want to be realistic....this trade wouldn't be doable at all, under any circumstances.

If you want to operate in fantasy land (and no harm in that), it'd be at least 4 1st round picks (they gave 3), and 2 key defensive players, Bowman + Whitner maybe. Overpay hugely or just blow it off as a daydream move.

If you want to do ground and pound, I'd look to DEAL Brown and run with Delone Carter + Ballard with Gerhart. I think Donald Brown + a 4th as a sweetener (if we're being realistic, even with Brown's 1st round pick originally, you'll have to win the Vikes over to go from a back they know to a back they don't).
