This is something I've been meaning to bring across to all you people here, I think Madden or sports games in general should do this for their reviews:

Give a main score for the features included that also make it better than the previous game in the series (In this case, from what we've seen Madden 13 gets like a 8.5)

Then give a main score for just how good the game is in terms of REPRESENTING THE SPORT ITSELF, which is where IGN fails in in their reviews imo. (In this case, Madden 13 gets like a 6).

Add those two then divide by 2 then you get a 7.25, or 7.3/7.0. I think that's where Madden NFL 13 should fall.

Reviews are completely overrated. When I play a game, the only review that matters is the one I give it.

i mean its possible i never played a madden game that I can remember it being ever over and 8 if i was the reviewer Imo so I would be ok with it I guess if it was true .

Madden got a rating of 7.5 of Gametrailers and IGN etc last time and we all know madden 12 was a below average game and anyone who thinks it wasnt obviously does not know how good it should be.

Doubt it, EA has a ban on reviews up till near the release. I'd call bluff if it was low, high or anywhere in between.
