Now that we are finally going to see some RTP introduced I see absolutely NO reason why we can't have 11 vs 11 online. If Fifa has it, and I can go all human teams in NHL, Madden is RIPE for full human teams online. With the same suite of customization that NHL has.
When you consider how diehard NFL fans are, to not have full 11 on 11 by now is almost inexcusable...ALMOST!!

only problems i see with it compared to fifa and nhl is playcalling and substitutions.

Getting 22 guys who are going to agree to play the game and NOT act like jerk-offs would be impossible....who is going to coordinate that many schedules and that many opinions and thoughts of play style into a single game worth playing? IN most matches of Battlefield I would like to kick at least 8-10 people in the nuts and that game is BUILT for chaos...

11-on-11 would be a disaster of biblical proportions...

I just don't think it will happen for that reason, it's not like FIFA and NHL where everyone gets to play the puck/ball. Unless you get to play a skill position it would get very boring.

I think 11v11 is too much. I think it would be better to start with 4v4 and have a locked position for each side of the ball. Whoever has the best rating (assuming they implement a rating system like NBA 2k12 has) for the certain position, they get dibs. I think it would be nice to be able to play QB, RB, WR, TE/WR and any position on D.

It would be fun until you get stuck playing O-Line. Besides gonna be tough to get 22 people together and get 11 on both sides of the ball to cooperate.
