Larry Fitzgerald:

493 yards after catch (Tied 5th in the NFL among WR's)
61 first downs (4th in the NFL among WR's )

You ever heard of the show Numbers Never Lie, well you should get the point. Calvin Johnson is the best WR in the NFL and that is without question. Larry Fitzgerald is great, yeah I know. But Calvin Johnson sits alone at the top.
Based off one season..I like to look at one's career. Not to mention Larry doesnt have a consistent qb throwing to him.

I'm sure they would because he's faster and jumps higher. It's like Jerry Rice vs Randy Moss. I don't have on Cardinals glasses but I know Johnson is the flashier player. If someone thinks Calvin is the best wr I don't have a problem with that but the gap between him and Fitz isn't huge. By the way I'm a huge Calvin fan.

I'm going to throw you some names out there.

Matt Stafford

Compared to

Matt Lienhart
Max Hall
John Skekton
Kevin Kolb

Do you really think the quality of qb's doesn't hurt Fitz's numbers?

Exactly, I like to look at career numbers. Based on one season Jordy Nelson and Victor Cruz are top 5 wrs. Don't you think the quality of their qb's enhanced their numbers or are they better than Larry Fitzgerald? You said numbers don't lie unc_kobw. People that played football and understand it on a X's and O's level know that you can't judge players by just stats. You also have to factor in the surrounding talent and the system they play in.

Once again I can understand saying Calvin is the best but the gap between the two isn't huge. The gap between those two and the rest of the NFL is huge.

Last season was Matthew Stafford first full 16 game season. The past few season Stafford was often injured and missed the majority of the season and CJ had QB's the likes of Shuan Hill, Drew Staton, and other 3-4 string QB's throwing him the ball unlike Fitzgerald during his SuperBowl bowl run having a Hall of Famer Kurt Warner as QB throwing him the ball. So if you look at Megatron career look at whom his QB was, they were 10 times worst than Fitz had
