I guess I know why your name isn't "Englishfan41."
So were the sales down much thus year? I haven't seen EA's numbers.
I saw some sales numbers for The Show and they were down a fair amount this year. Clearly no Season Ticket or quality issues at play. Assuming EA's sales are down I would blame the big hitting non sports games. MW3, Skyrim, Batman and the like keep getting bigger and I would guess taking more of the gaming pie. This was the year where I played more non sports games compared to sports games for the first time in forever. I still bought all the main sports games but they have collected some serious dust this year. If folks have a tight gaming budget I could see them spending their money on the non sport blockbuster vs. the "next year" version on a sports title.
