Re: Game meant to be played on very slow

I get the best experience on Very Slow with speed threshold at 15.

That point about separation is true, but I still don't think Madden is more realistic at 100 because the game doesn't account for momentum and agility. Sure a DT might not be any slower than your average QB, but if you watch a game most QBs can easily out maneuver and "out run" them in the pocket because DTs and DEs can't change direction that fast. Same is true with WRs getting separation on LBs. Maybe some MLB isn't much slower than a 4.5 reciever, but he'll still get toasted on certain routes because he can't keep up with the cuts and how fluid a WR can move. I just think you need to lower threshold in order to compensate and create separation between 'fast' and 'slower' players.

Playing the Demo, I've been having the most fun on Slow speed with the threshold around 10. I haven't tried Very Slow yet but I'm going to have to give it a try as well as bumping the threshold up to the 20's and 30's just to see the results I get.

I play on slow, very slow is too slow for me, feels like players are running in slow motion.

Slow is my favorite. The game plays real smooth.

Just a hunch, we'll have to see what the difference between an online and offline game is like.

That's a good point.

Totally agree.

Either way though, threshold and game speed are personal preference. For the first time I actually prefer Very Slow. Helps me read things better and player movement is smoother. Whether it's realistic or a better experience are up to the user to decide. I'm just glad we have these options. If we had a threshold for agility and acceleration as well I'd be in heaven.

Very Slow

Speed Threshold 35

That will be my starting point as I develop a custom slider set this year.
