Ok where/what mode are these legends I keep seeing screens of?

Ive seen a shot of Ronnie Lott with his '80s jersey/uni, Walter Payton, and someone who looks to be either Jerome Brown or Reggie white (in Eagles garb) but where are these guys? And when u use those guys they actually have the old school look to them on the field?

I was wondering this too. Can you only play with one legend at a time? Personally I was hoping to have Aikman, Emmitt, and Irvin all on the same team just for the fun of it. Would that even be possible?

I miss the days in EAs football games where you could pick ur team or your teams greatest teams and play with them. '79 Bucs, 85 Bears, 72 Phins, and on and on and on...And a few years back on the last gen you could play NCAA and use teams with leather helmets, that era. So friggin cool.

And since EA just showed a commercial with John Madden coaching Barry Sanders, I was wondering about legends myself.
Id love to put Walsh, Joe, Rice, and Lott together again.

Ultimate Team mode is where all of the legends are at. A couple were in the game last year also.

I had some limited exposure to Ultimate Team with NHL 12 and it was
FREAKIN fun. Building and managing a team in that way was kick ***!
I am really looking forward to this edition of Madden.
And the next few too. By the next Next Gen, we are going to be playing
an incredible football game.

In CC, I think you can only have on legend to play as, in your league (if you're doing it offline).

I don't usually care for MUT, but this year they've added hundreds of challenges that unlock cards, as an additional way to get them aside from acquiring packs. They made a point of making lower quality versions ('training camp Aaron Rodgers') easy to get so that people can get what they want and then turn around and start their CCM with that coach/legend.

Also nice this year is you pick your team and start with their stadium/uniforms/etc, rather than being suck with whatever is in your starter pack.

Even as someone who doesn't really play the mode, I found the MUT presentation entertaining and worth doing a search for if it sounds like something you might be interested in.
