I am currently downloading Madden 13 on my EA Sports Season Ticket.....can I start a connected careers mode on it and still use it on my actual disc-copy of the game when I receive it? I am uploading commentary for the game and don't know whether to just wait for the 28th....

Yes you can. It'll be just like if you had the disc now, broke it, and got a new one Tuesday. Everything will continue the same.
