Draft Scouting

How do you guys go about scouting for the draft? Are there any particular things you scout first/value more position by position?

Re: Draft Scouting

I don't have the game, but I would go for the key ratings.

Say you wanted a pass rusher. Scout Finesse and Power moves first and you will get a letter grade. If that letter grade is good then scout them further.

I's just my take on it but, I'm not gonna be too concerned with the "scheme" of the player. I would rather take the stud who doesn't fit my scheme over the good player who does.

This "stud" that doesnt fit your scheme will have a much lower overall rating for you than the good player that does.

That's the thing, I'm not bothered what his OVR rating is. All I care about is what he does on the field. His positional ratings.

Re: Draft Scouting

I have to agree with Mr. Nuts. Why would I care about anything other than his ratings that matter to my philosophy?

The OVR is rather meaningless in my opinion.

His overall should reflect your philosophy, considering it puts into play the main subcatigories that build his overall, based on your philosophy.

I would love for it to be perfect like that.
