No Edit Player Equipment in CC?

I have made several CCs as a player and keep running into the same issues. Any one else having dealing with this or have any suggestions?

1. When I create my player and choose white sleeves, they are gone at the start of the career and a towel is always added.

2. Where is the option to edit your equipment once the CC is started? It would be nice to go in an edit sleeves/gloves/ etc. based on if your home or away, temperature, etc. Am I not looking in the right place, or is the option not given?
