All one can do is try, though with several sample sizes.

If it doesn't work, you tried it.

Nothing wrong w/ trying -- I'm just suggesting that in my slider research, things tend to get overthought. Just like the idea that you have to log two games for sliders to kick in. What!?!

At the end of the day though, it's an issue that needs immediate addressing. Nothing more deflating than playing against the Chargers and seeing Philip Rivers barely pass the ball.

I agree that it should be patched or fix, but here is the slider people's theory.

Yeah, its the pass reaction. Too high and it passes too much and if it is too low, it rushes too much. Just need to find the balance for it.

It maybe far fetched, but it might work too. I'm going to try it out, can't hurt.

Can you pass along to anyone at EA how big of an issue this is?

Just shocked that this could even be an issue, also shocked that after 3 years they won't let us set the gameplans for the CPU so that they can use them in a franchise. They make these tools, then never touch them again, leaving them half baked. Very frustrating!

Re: Cpu playcalling is killing me.

This problem is making it borderline unplayable for me. I was Indianapolis vs Green Bay during the regular season. I was up by 10 with 4 minutes to go and just kicked off to them. Every play they called up to the 2 minute warning was a run, with no hurry up or no huddle. They finally started going no huddle (while still mixing in 2-3 run plays ?!?). They had a receiver fight for yards at about the 15 yard line rather that go out of bounds (despite the fact there was three defenders there and he only gained 1 extra yard), and then burned a timeout. They then ran the ball and called another timeout.

Here is the kicker. They burned 2 timeouts that they shouldn't have inside the 20. They then had a 4th and goal from the 15 yard line and rather than kick the field goal and attempt an onside kick like they should have, they went for it and didn't convert.

Wouldn't it be funny if there was a big expose that uncovered the fact that the actual In-Game AI has NEVER changed since the very first Madden on the Genesis????

That's not the case though since this wasn't a problem in Madden 12.
