This may be a noob question but is auto sprint and auto strafe always set to ON when playing quick ranked?

I changed my personal madden settings and put both of them OFF but while playing online ranked matches but I can't really tell if it's OFF or what. I know you can set these in CC but what about regular ranked matches?

I've been playing Madden since Madden '98 on the N64 and I've always held down sprint all the time even since its been automatic.

Even with auto-sprint on, when you hold down R2, the runner will lower his head a little and usually breaks the first tackle. Atleast with MJD I noticed.
