Personally I don't play online. I enjoy playing this and NCAA offline at my own pace. Add in the fact that there is always a strong community presence for roster editing and you get a more accurate roster.

As others have mentioned, you are unable to switch players into different positions. Maybe I want to move a 3-4 linebacker onto the D-line for a 4-3 or move a DE to a 3-4 LB. For a game that seems to want to emphasize coaching they don't seem to want to let you do any actual coaching/customization.

The lack of roster editing extends to customizing trades before you start a franchise. For some this means no getting to play as a Pro-bowl team of your favorite players. It also means you can't gut a team and start from scratch. If there was a particular player you really want to play with on a team aside from your own you can't trade for him. You have to decide for yourself if any of the above matters to you. Clearly it matters to some though, and for them aspects of the game that they found enjoyment out of, and that did not affect others, were removed.

I just want my co-op Franchise/CCM back. I get so bored not talking trash about who's player is the best on the team, me at QB and safety, my brother at SAfety and RB and my cousin at CB and WR. We battle to see who's most valuable and who wins the most awards, hell even broken records. Now I play by myself, go through 2 games and quit. :-(

1 yeah this one most people hate stop finding exuses as to why people want to edit players only about 1% of people that play madden would do that. the other 99% want accurate rosters created players realstic rosters changing position etc.

2 its nice to have real players in the team not some fake generated players that we can't edit

3 doesn't worry me but some people like to do it to have fun

4 online?? so you can't play a franchise with REAL freinds and famiily members? so everyone has to buy a console and sit in different rooms to play the game? rather then in front of the couch. yes most people don't want to play some kid online they don't know they like to socialise with real freinds.
