Anyone... just lost a game because I remember reading that kicking a field goal DOES NOT win it. Is this true and if it is it SHOULD be stickied as that information is absolutely critical. Wish EA would let you know as you start overtime... -_-

I thought Phil Simms does talk about the new rules when you go to overtime.

That would be the new NFL overtime rules. As a coach, your owner should be VERY disappointed in you for not keeping up with the league changes.

Let's clarify here:

Kicking a field goal wins the game on any other drive except the first one after the coin toss.

The team that gets the ball first in overtime can only win by scoring a touchdown, if they kick a field goal, the other team gets a possession. If the first team fails to score the second team can win with a field goal or either team on any subsequent drive.

No, I wasn't clear enough sorry. Someone posted in the demo impressions thread that it wasn't working properly. Has it been fixed in retail?

Ummm as far as I know that rule only applies in the playoffs...
