I hated that vision flashlight. Who plays football with a flashlight anyways?

To add on to your idea though, the CPU needs to have the ability to take advantage of a QB who only knows a fraction of the plays. The CPU should pick up on the trends in playcalling (what types of plays, what are most likely) and make you pay for only using a limited set of plays.

Great work.
YES! I thought I was the only one. I actually LOVED the vision cone, even though J.P. Losman's was more like a very thin vision laser beam.

It's a video game. In real life, there are not icons under the receivers. That flashlight actually made awareness tangible. It was awesome.

I loved the vision cone, but it was too hard for casual gamer so they took it out. At least give us the option to have it on or off

Re: Making Quarterback Awareness Mean Something

Going through preseason games, I notice my controller will shake when I'm about to be sacked with my starting QB. My controller will not shake nearly as much or consistently when my backup comes in.

Could this be due to awareness? Or is there another attribute causing this? Sorry not at home to check.

I miss the vision cone, but this is also a great idea. You could limit a players audibling and hot routing/flipping plays.

Re: Making Quarterback Awareness Mean Something

i liked it when back in madden 09...they had the awareness weapon (the lightbulb), where if your QB had high awareness, your QB could read the what the defense was playing. I thought that wasnt a terrible idea. maybe with a few tweaks and limits, it could be re-implemented in the near future.

Actually, Madden used to do so several years back. I can't remember the year (or years), but it was on PS2. There was even a feature that tracked what plays your opponent (cpu) ran most often and then you could practice against them; and it tracked the plays you ran most often and was supposed to punish you for that. i even think there was an in-game tracking of what formations and plays the cpu ran on certain downs. Like vision cone, I thought it was a waste of time then. . .but I really would appreciate both of them now.
