Want to play online well, getting crushed out of the gate

Head to head: Get ripped a new one 40-7 at half-time. Quit. It's boring being far behind with zero chance of making a comeback. Besides, let's the other player find another game.

Okay, maybe MUT will be better. 78 vs 72 overall, how bad can that be?
Opp. has Jerry Rice who blows past my secondaries. 38-3 by the 3rd. Quit.

So EA figures I should either play until I start losing horribly and then quit which hurts me (DNF%) or suffer through a game I've lost interest in.

Anybody else in the same boat as me? Anybody with some sound advice?

Neither of my opponents cheesed. They didn't even have to.

Unless your a cheeser online always has sucked for madden. Never been about skill but rather exploits.

when i first started playing online in 12 i lost my first 6 games i hate like other posted said wen u get a cheeser that abuses the AI they just run up the score. i eventually ended up with 86 wins online but also 105 loses i quit some but most i stuck threw it. in 13 im 1-1 online. i agree it gets boring if nothing goes right.

hmm 13 seemed to skill match me pretty good. Im 2-3. no blow outs really tight games.

but ya the knuckle heads who will play normally till they r losing then use all their exploiting knowledge, suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your probably just "playing" the game without any idea of how to play football or scheme offense/defense.

Played one game before I saw my opponent doing consecutive screen plays, going for it on 4th every time, and nano blitzing on D.... Needless to say, he ended up quitting in the 3rd when I was up 3 scores, but the urge to go back online has never happened since, and never will unless a friend challenges me.

Your first mistake? Quitting.

Nobody likes a quitter, yeah, but you just wasted an opportunity to get better.

How? Well, the game was over, you had no win to play for....so...why not try things. Don't try and make a hero comeback, try and run an offence, try and run plays you never use. Watch your opponent and figure out why he's up 33 points at this point, practice what he's doing.

You get better by playing online, not quitting. Don't waste chances to practice vs live opponents, you have no pressure in a blowout, just try and move the football and get better next time. Pay attention to what your superior is doing, learn and practice!

I have a pretty good understanding of football, though I will admit I only learned about schemes yesterday while searching around elsewhere for tips.
