Question about ballhawking

So this year, I heard if you're controlling another player, let say the MLB and the pass is being bombed to a wr, if you press triangle button on ps3, the cpu controlled defender will automatically go for a pick?

Wow well that's because the triangle in the manner your describing simply the defender trying to catch the ball.

The new ballhawk feature only works if you are controlling the defender defending the pass. You must still be in the area of the projected destination of the ball but instead of just tapping triangle or Y to intercept the pass you hold triangle or Y down. What this does is cause your defender to attempt to catch the ball at it's highest point. It works the same way for controlling a wide receiver as well.
