i play on 10 minute quarters and i've yet to see the sky go from light to dark or heck even the clouds move it shouldnt depend on the quarter length because the game dosent go by live weather or time so it shouldnt matter if u play 5,6,7,10,12, or 15 minute quarters.

Re: What quarter length is needed to see the effects of progressive lighting?

I've played 15 minute quarters with no accel clock to see if the sky ever changes color, it doesn't. The shadows move across the field quite well, actually they even move during the quarters, not just in between. However, sky color never darkens regardless of geographic location, and regardless of start time. I wish this years Maddens had ncaa 2007 progressive lighting, god that was awesome. The lighting was updated every play! Mid afternoon games that started in sunlight moved into dusk and ended in darkness with the lights on. I thought with how cool that was it would be standard in every ea football game to follow, it was nerfed by the next year.

I never notice any lighting changes. Also, does this game have the weather channel?

It works man....I've played in games in Nashville(titans), where it starts at 4:15 and by the end of the game, it's dusk.....BUT it's just broken in that it only works when you play super long games like 13 min quarters.

Did you read the post that you quoted? He says that he tested it in 15 min quarters.

yes, I read his post....he's incorrect though.

Hell, the shadows even move on 5 min quarters....but the sky doesnt change until you play, I'm guessing 13 min quarters and longer

Touche...I didn't know either way. I played a 15 w/ 15 game in Denver that went into OT and I don't remember a change by the end. Perhaps I was just caught up in the crazy back and forth.
