What do the player colors mean when you are calling a play?

What does it mean when you are calling a play and the player color is red, orange, blue etc.

Represents stamina levels.
Blue -- near 100%
But the closer it gets to red the more tired they are.

If the player is red his chances of fumbling is increased dramatically.

It's how tired they are. The closer to red, the more likely fumbles, injury, bad throws, drops, missed tackles, etc. are.

If I understand your question correctly, do you mean on the field? When you look at the play art? Or in your playbook? Like, the colors of the routes on the play call screen?

If so, it's nothing to do with fatigue as others have said.

The yellow/orange routes are regular WR's routes
The Blue routes are delay routes. Usually from a RB or TE, who stays in to block, or fake block first, then runs the route.
The red routes are option routes. Meaning the WR should read the D, and run one of the patters outlined in red based on the D.
