Coach question for CCM

I used the search function, but didn't see a resolution to my question. With that said...

In the connected-career mode, I thought it was stated you could use a HOF player as well instead of just a HOF coach? Did I misread something? If I wasn't blind and this is the case, where do you go in order to use a HOF player?

You have to complete their collections in Ultimate Team first.
