So I have Ray Rice who already has 5 year extention(year 1, week 1), but he wants to sign a new contract..what does this mean? is he holding out if I dont pay him or just a bug?

Most likely a bug unless EA mentioned a highly deep and interactive negotiation part of NFL.

I think players may not want to resign later if not given extensions? At least I think someone mentioned that in regards to drew brees..
