What is the best way to play franchise (ccm)

I have heard a lot regarding how the cpu plays different in CCM than in Play now games. I was hoping the patch would fix this but it seems it hasn't.

What is the best way to start a franchise? (offline - online)
Is there a good ccm slider set?

Online... Good slider set... And I just play whatever game I choose by retiring and taking over a current coach.

Let's me keep teams in check... But depth charts don't save from team to team...and occasionally the CPU will just sign pointless players in between weeks...

I tried everything to enjoy ccm and just couldn't so one night I was thinking of everything that I could do to enjoy ccm and came up with an idea, playing against yourself. Play the offenses for both teams each game and let the best team win. Think about it, the cpu offense is horrible, switch there offense with a human and it wouldn't be so bad....Then I realized you couldn't switch teams during a game..what a waste of thought that was.
