Naming Team Captains?

Hopefully I am wrong about this and someone can point me in the right direction, but can we not name/revoke team captains anymore? I see some guys have the 'C' in the roster file, but then in my CCM it disappears.

You can't. I'd only want it back of it had a meaning like ratings boost or XP boost.

Even without the ratings boost, it is a small thing but it adds that much more immersion to your CCM. Not sure why they needed to remove something to simple, I actually liked being able to choose team captains.

I just hate that they give it to the players with highest OVR. Realistically it should be the QB and LB, which 99% of the time are the play callers.

Only 11 of 32 teams have the qb and lb as captains. The only way to realistically do it is by tenure with current team, but even then you get some major exceptions (Manning)

Vilma came back in season 2 of my CCM with the Saints and had the captain tag. This is just another thing I wish Madden would have worked on, including a ratings boost when the player is on the field. Something so simple, but wishful thinking...

I've often thought this myself lol...Give your team Captains a small boost in awareness or something...but like you said, wishful thinking...
