Questions on Importing Draft Classes

When you import draft classes, can you name the players on Madden, or do you have to rename them before you export on NCAA? Also, do you simulate a season in NCAA, then export a draft class? Thanks in advance.

you can always rename any player in madden. so yes

What I meant to ask is, can you rename the player before you draft them? I was thinking you couldn't because whenever you press 'X', it just checks that player so he will be scouted. Is there any other screen you can rename players?

I think I understand what you're asking....

If you want player names for the scouting and NFL Draft in owner mode, then you have to import a draft class file that has the names edited (i.e. a draft class file from an NCAA dynasty that has player names edited).

So - I just imported a class yesterday that has the names. I got the named roster for NCAA and played the first season in a dynasty as Purdue. In Madden, I just drafted the (named) seniors (and a few underclassmen) from my first dynasty season into my first offseason scouting/draft in owner mode.

you cant rename rookies before the draft in madden, youll have to wait until theyr drafted and you can

also if you rename them after the draft you lose the draft info (this is for all players, if you access any edit player screen, even if you don't change anything, the draft info becomes N/A).

if that bothers you like it does me than you'd want to make all the changes in NCAA.
