Help with CCM

Help with the colts:

ive started an online CCM as the head coach of the colts. Now, im pretty new to the technical side of madden. ive only ever really played against friends, where tactics etc dont really matter. but, i wanted to get into it properly this year, after all, it cost me £40.

So, ive started as the colts, because they are the lowest rated team. And being one for 'building' legacys, it was the obvious answer.

The problem is, do i stay with their current schemes/play books and build from there,or do i install my own new plans. I have started a game to see who i like etc, and found that ALOT of free agents are better than what i have. So, i signed them up, changed a few schemes and then cut/traded alot of what i consider dead wood.

so, here are my questions

1) should i play the game the way the colts are set up, or change schemes etc? (if so, what works well?)
2) should i be signing so many free agents? obviously this betters my team, but how realistic is this approach?
3) which of the current roster should i plan to keep? Luck for example....

thanks for any replies. (i can post my current roster if needed, this may help to decide which plays/schemes to use etc)

#1. I'd play the 3-4 the Colts are now switching to.
#2. I would say away from signing FA's in yr 1. You took the Colts because you said they were the lowest rated team, so build through the draft, sign a guy in FA that can help.

#3. Luck, both tight ends (Fleener & Allen). Build around them.

Re: Help with CCM

thanks for the reply.

so lets say that i keep things the way the colts are set up by default, instead of changing to my own schemes (i like this idea). With the free agents, i try not to sign anyone above the age of 27, hoping that i can develop them in the future. the problem with free agents, is that its just so easy to overlook your current roster because of their OVR. In my current test game, im 1 pre season game in. and i think i have basically cut/traded about 50+ of my current 75 man squad, leaving me with 53 men after all the Free agents. Again, thanks for the reply bro. i dont like to be a pain, but knowing other peoples thoughts really help out.

Re: Help with CCM

i would say put your own scheme in the game play the game that makes you have the most fun running your team, draft who ever you want if you see a qb in the draft that you like better than luck sign him
