Madden 13:The grass yet again

Checked out the Titans stadium. Looks a little bright, but not as bad as some other fields in the game.

ya the art department has never seen a real nfl field or watched a game played on a field I'm assuming.

I'm really surprised also. It's almost like they think nobody will notice they have lime green grass.

last year we had 3d grass didnt we? I havnt noticed 3d grass this year.

There's still 3D grass.. Just the developers didn't water it so to speak, so we're left with this neon lime green grass instead of a natural looking, rich green grass. Ugh... So frustrating.

Perfect Description! How come they do this every other year? 11/13 grass is terrible, while 10/12 it's really good.

I mean, I get being hyperbolic to make a point - but I think it takes away from the point when you keep using it as your adjective.

While I agree that there are some issues with grass color, I don't see it as a huge problem. Last year it looked terrible on PS3, and I do remember your thread that helped shed light on it - so I don't want to discount your concern here; I just don't see it this year.

If someone could provide in-game captures, that would help show your point. (As a rule, I don't trust anyone's photos of a TV screen - too many variables involved.)

A quick look on NFL.com shows several "looks" for the grass. Both of these links I believe more closely match the Madden grass (at least as depicted in your photo. I haven't played at that stadium in Madden 13 yet).

If there is an issue (I use "if" because this is a subjective argument) it could be less of an issue with their green color pallete and more with the HDR lighting; as (I hope) the links I've posted show that lighting has a huge impact on color perception.
