From jumping LBs to jumping DTs?

I'm playing the Bears and their number 2 DT, Okoye, who is 6'2" with a jump rating of 45, deflected a pass jumping way up--see pictures below.

All with a jump rating of 45. Maybe he should have been a basketball player

The best part of that is the fact that single animation is the exact same animation you will see ANY defensive lineman do when attempting to bat down a pass at the line. How about having a realistic animation where the lineman is reaching up with one arm and attempting to fight off the block?

Good job OP for all the naysayers that need visual evidence because these things "never" happen to them.

Once again this issue with cookie cutter animations, that any player can access regardless of ratings. If next year there is nothing touting animation unique to specific players and positions, expect more of the same in M14.

They may reach up, but they ain't jumping that high with a mediocre jump rating--he is Okoye, not JPP. Ever see your DTs jump that high to defend a pass?

DTs bat down 1-2 passes in every nfl game. Granted the jump is a lil too high but I'd rather have it in the game with a bad animation then not at all. U guys get too hung up on visuals and not the end result sometimes.

LOL, this here really gave me a good laugh. This is the same philosophy I believe that the devs have when creating this game. Who cares about the process as long as the results are right? Well I care far more about the process because if you get that right then the results are sure to follow suit.

Like I have said before, Tiburon understands their target audience and I sure ain't it.
