This can explain why the only way to get pressure on the qb is to blitz.
I don't buy that at all. I get what you are trying to say, but what I'm saying is I want to use this info to my advantage- We know some ratings in madden matter. Stuff like speed clearly matters, so let's say blocking is useless(and in this video, it sure appears to be)
Then not using any XP on blocking, and instead using it for speed you'd have a line that could block just as well, but they'd have a big speed advantage. I'm not sure how useful it would be but wouldn't you rather finds way to make the progression useful than continue to pour points into useless blocking stats

That's embarrassing. EA implemented all of these special, highly-specific ratings like pass block footwork, finesse moves, block shedding, etc. and for what?

Line play is so huge in the NFL, and in Madden it is completely pointless. CCM is not as fun if you know that there is no reward in developing a good offensive line or a beastly defensive line. It's all just window dressing.

thats great if you're trying to game the system. I think most of us here just want some realistic stuff. This is in no way a positive at all.

So what happens with sliders, do they work differently if you start on a diferent difficulty level and change the numbers to be exactly the same as on a different difficulty level?
Doesnt it usually just say custom? Interesting.

And just to lighten the mood, the Bears need to get this guy in real life ASAP.

This is why we need a "TRUE" physics engine, that incorporates player movement and weight.

Regardless of ratings, there is a very little chance of someone 150 lbs. blocking someone who is 275 lbs.

Wow, this ruins the game for me. I will for sure not buy next year unless this is fixed. Glad I only borrowed this years from a friend. And I was actually going to buy it tomorrow. Soo glad I looked at this thread.
