What's your 53 man roster strategy?

Because annoyingly you still can't have a practice squad or inactive players, you need to use some shortcuts to keep a 53 man roster.

What are your strategies?

For example, I've just started using only 3 HB, and the FB as the 4th in the list.

Also I put the FB as 3rd TE and only have 2 TE's.

I sometimes only have 4 DT's and use an end as the 5th.

Sometimes I only have 5 WR's and the 6th is a TE.

Right now I want 6 WR and 6 CB's because I drafted a few prospects, so I had to cut elsewhere. I went with cutting a FS, and switching up the 3 slots between SS and FS with 1 FS and 2 SS

I find offensive linemen get hurt a lot, so I always keep 2 of each, T, G, C. That takes up a valuable extra spot or 2.

Obviously if someone gets hurt for a few weeks and I need to sign a TE or DT, it makes things more difficult.

Any other tricks and strategies?
