Is there a way to spreed out the money differently ? giving Matt Prater 1 Mill year 1 and 4 mill year 5 is odd

Yea increase the bonus which is spread out over the whole contract and decrease the salary....will make it more even throughout the deal.....be careful though the bonus in future years still counts against your cap if you trade/release the player! The salary does not. So i usually sign to long deals then in the last couple years where there salary goes way up I trade them!
