Is pass interference impossible on Madden 13?

I have played about 25 offline games and have yet to have a pass interference penalty called for either side. I have adjusted the sliders but it hasn't made a difference.

Actually, other than holding and false start I haven't had any other penalties called. Is this unusual ?

I've had a few here and there, probably not as much as I would think, but i've been in the middle of the penalty yards my first 2 years of offline ccm so...nothing seems out of whack relatively speaking.

I had it once, when I overthrew a receiver with a bullet pass and one of the dbs ran into my wr. Funny enough, it shouldn't have even been called since an uncatchable ball makes the penalty void I believe.

I believe I have found the problem. It lies in the programming with the defense able to turn their heads. So technically they are turning their heads and playing the flight of the ball, even if they run into you a lot, that negates the penalty. It's just bad programming logic that seems they got rid of at the last minute because there were so many bugs. This happens often in games. Features removed rather than fixed to get it out on time. I sure hope next months patch fixes this as well as the many other problems.

Just had it called! Okay it was in practice mode lol. But still. I jumped up for a pass, the defender was standing there and the ball went too high over me. My player jumped up and forward into the defender, and they called PI

Wait what? Since when have penalties been in practice mode?

Theres no animation for it, so it's just the defender standing in front of you while you hit an invisible wall. Since release date, I've played countless games, with the PI slider on 100, and I've only seen a total of 3 PI penalties called....3.

After 4 seasons (nearing the end of the fourth) in offline CCM I've seen two, one for and one against. Neither actually appeared to be PI when I watched the replay.
