Wish they'd give us the option to turn cap back on since I had to turn it off to keep my chise going.

Why do you think this will be fixed with the patch? I haven't seen anything about the update resolving this issue.

I'm in season 4 and just had this glitch happen to me. It was not fixed in the patch, I downloaded the patch this morning and have been playing with it all day before this glitch popped up.

Has anyone tried retiring your coach and starting with a new coach?

Does the cap go back to normal after the start of the next season?

This ruins our online franchise that we have already invested 3 1/2 seasons playing every single game.

I will be trying some things over the next few days, I will let everyone know what I find out. If anyone else has anymore information, please share.

Re: Can't resign player, -1360.2 mil in cap?

I had to turn off the cap to get around this in our league, and it hard a weird side effect.....curious if you guys have seen it. In the pre-season, even with the salary cap OFF, if I try to cut one of the generated BS rookies, it will give me a message like "if you release player X, you will free up 500k of cap space but incur a penalty of 50k, do you want to proceed?). I select "yes" then it tells me releasing the guy will put me OVER the cap (which again, is turned OFF) and wont let me do it. I can release any other player, just not a generated rookie. Has anyone else seen this? The only work around I have found is to delegate the cuts to the CPU, then check the FA pool to make sure that noone I wanted to keep got the axe. Anyone else seen this? I swear, EA is incapable of making a franchise that works. Take some notes from NBA 2K fellas......they dont have these same issues EVERY year cause they care about the product they put out.
