The divide between Play Now and CCM
In listening to interviews with the Madden Devs (Josh Looman) they talked about how CCM was designed to bridge the gap between online and offline franchise guys, and that was mission accomplished and we will all reap the benefits for the next few years so I am glad they did this despite taking out editing and other features. When they add new things they only have to code it for one mode so they don't need to invest time on several seperate modes and that is a great thing. However there is now an even bigger gap between Play Now and CCM games. This is the next area that needs to be addressed. I made a post about the AI which is the most notable thing and a severe downgrade this year but other things are missing as well.
This game has so much potential but they never seem to put it all together. IGN and the review sites still give them 8/9 rating every year but if you play for more than a week you know thats a false score. One of my biggest wishes that would help a lot is if they let us use custom playbooks/gameplans in CCM, as well as being able to create and assign them to CPU controlled teams. It would also be great so I could remove the 'money plays' from my own playbook and not have the urge to call them or have them called in Gameflow. They made online and offline franchise have the same exact features but they need to make CCM and Play Now have the same features...
Would instantly elevate the game.... oh well maybe next year.. its always next year. We should be able to access every feature in every game mode. I feel for the guys who enjoy Co-op and can't get that fix in CCM. The game comes so close but all these little 'issues' add up and are pure frustration. I wish they would spend 1 year not innovating and just making everything they HAVE work RIGHT.
