    How does the Interception slider work?

    Hi,

    I have a question about the Interception Slider. If I set PLAYER's interception slider to 100, will I intercept more passes from the CPU or will the CPU catch more of my passes? I tested it with 0 and with 100 and I did not really see any difference. So is this slider really working on the Xbox 360?

    human controls the human's D and cpu controls the cpu's D. now with that said interception slider controls more of how well the D plays the pass, not so much just how many picks they'll get. but that also works with the reaction time sliders and difficulty to all determine how many actual interceptions will happen

      100 = more interceptions

      0 = less interceptions .

        Yeah, but for how? That was the original question.

        What you're saying here makes a lot of sense. Thanks for putting it that way.

          HUM Interceptions at 100 means you will catch more interceptions. CPU at 100 means they will catch more interceptions.

          The slider works differently than you think though. It doesn't mean the defenders will play the pass better, it means they will catch the pass better. If you are like most madden players (myself included!) you don't make great decisions with throwing the football and you will see defenders bat them down or have it bounce off their hands. The higher the interception rating the better their hands are going to be. If you put it at 100 they are going to catch most of the balls that hit their hands.

          Setting CPU Interception at 100 is a great way to train yourself on reading defenses and making smart choices. Bad choices will get punished.
