I Dont See What People Are Talking About...CPU AI

I'm not seeing it either. In all the years that I've been on OS, my experience with a game has never been more radically different than most of the posters here then with Madden 13. Sure I see the lack of DPI, the crappy CPU kick and punt returning logic and occasional sketchy CPU RB and QB decision making logic as well, but I'm not seeing this totally non competitive, completely oblivious CPU A.I. that many others are so angry about.

The CPU can run and throw successfully in games, can force me into 3 and outs several times during a game, has a nice balance of running and throwing the ball, depending on the score and their personnel, you know, just regular solid football.

I'm playing an online CCM, 15 minute-ACC clock quarters, with slightly modified All-Pro Sliders, and conventional playcalling. I really am totally at a loss as to why others are having such a crappy experience playing the game.

I think the problem honestly is sliders don't work right. Everyone has a different skill level. thats not a bad thing. The game should be able to fit everyones ability's.

IMO sliders will make your team worse, but you can't really make the CPU better

Have you ever played MUT legend series games? Computer is superhuman in that.

Never tried that mode. I'm mostly just a offline franchise player.

All madden on ccm is really hard, I lose by 20 points most times, usually 10. In MUT, I lose by 50 sometimes.

CPU does run the ball a lot, or tries to, but I run it even more so it doesn't bother me. I've only played a couple of games on All-Madden default sliders where I struggled to stop the run. All-in-all I like the CPU play calling because the only way I get beaten is if I make mistakes on offense or the CPU just makes great plays. That's the way it should be.

The CPU AI is hurting the interest in my offline CCM. The computer offense struggles with heavy slider changes in its favor and house rules. I also am using the Browns. It is too easy to just sit in cover 2 man and cover 3 and stop the computer. Until this year I hadn't played much Madden since 10 but the struggle with this series for me has always been getting a balanced difficulty. That said I am enjoying my multi-user online CCMs. Right now trying to decide if I want to stick with my offline CCM for my offline gaming or pick something up like NHL 13 or NBK 2k13. If I could get a fun challenge from Madden it would never leave my console.

naw man...it ain't about playcalling throughout the game that makes you want to put it down...its the CPU AI when behind in the 4th quarter.

Too many times CPU has been down by 3 points or less with under 30 seconds to go and did not go for the game winning or tying field goal...too many times in the same position down by 7 points or less they do not go for the game tying or winning TD.

That's Waaaay bigger than run-pass ratios, spamming screen passes or reacting late to runs outside the guards.
