Are they ever going to allow us to edit positions?

From what I understand, we aren't able too. This was a huge part of the game. I don't understand why they would take it out. Of course it's possible to just plug DTs into DE, but your rosters become messed up. You end up with too many players at DT.

Are they ever going to fix this? I was expecting it this patch, but nope.

You won't see it this year, I don't think. It was probably taken out due to some sort of issue in CCM...whether it be taking advantage of position changes to lower OVR and get a guy signed cheaper, or if the code just has some issues in it that causes bigger issues when you move certain positions elsewhere (maybe due to scheme/player type)...I dunno. But I doubt it gets done this year.

I actually think they should put in height/weight/names because that is possible (and enhances the game), however Looman tweeted about positions on Oct 16th:



"They have different goals. Changing positions could cause major issues with the goals system. "

Still seems possible, but clearly a major coding issue.

That sucks, especially since the game was a pretty good improvement overall. Editing positions was almost a necessary feature for me though.

How come I can change positions in my CCM?

I made Peppers a LE to get more sacks and Briggs was changed to a LOLB.

You can make small adjustments...DE's and OLB's can switch sides, but you can't make a DT a DE, or an OLB an ILB.

You can you swap sides, IE a LE to a RE or a ROLB to a LOLB, but nothing else.
