was madden the only game to get the classic teams right?

all the other games you have a limit to how many classic team's you can create.. in madden i have a great number of classic teams created and if madden does have a limit they allow you to edit more classic teams and players than the other games do.. i'm loving it.... 71,78,83cowboys 75,78 steelers, 77,90 raiders 73, dolphins 83 redskins etc etc

Yes Madden was the only game to allow classic teams.

ESPN allows them, but there is a limit to the amount of edited players...125 I think. Therefore you can only get about 2 or 3 complete classic teams with real names and numbers. A HUGE disappointment for those of us who enjoy the classic teams.

I love to recreate old SuperBowls with the classic teams and rewrite history

The only thing I don't like is the fact that you have to save a different file for every team you edit. I think it should just save to rosters. Otherwise, they did a decent job.

I think they did a fantastic job. This is by far one of my favorite aspects of the game. A few things I hope they add in 2005: Online. They could do it like they do it with NCAA...as long as you stick with the original rosters, the edited names will show online, that is if one or both players used edited named rosters (not edited attribute) ones. Classic stadiums. They had them before, EA, bring them back! Also, retro customizable Super Bowl Stadiums. Retro gear...facemasks, pads, long sleeved jerseys, and of course MORE/ALL OF THE CLASSIC JERSEYS/UNIFORMS!! Classic playbooks and editable/saveable depth charts... for example, playing with or against the 83 Redskins w/Riggins but having them play Spurrier's offense is a drag. Aside from these things, I still praise EA for allowing the edits and the huge number of teams.
