When you play a game, turn on a 2nd controller, change the teams playbook that is shown in the playbook thread, then turn the contoller back to the middle, and the gameplay should be almost spot on.
Why change the opposing teams playbook?

Is the Captain Patch glitch a universal or a hit-and-miss thing when using an imported roster?

In my online CCM I only see patches when everyone wears pink. Otherwise there are no captains patches.

What about editing drafted players gear and numbers in future?
I would recommend not even using a custom roster, based on what I have read about the glitches it can cause.

Once you start a CCM, you can edit anybody from year one to year 30.

When you go into the editing screen the player appearance changes to some default settings, and this affects all players from what I have seen.

You can fix the appearance on anybody, but the changes to o-line and d-line do not save....which is unfortunate because most of the left-right position changes needed are linemen.

Changing the teams playbook allows you to get a more realistic game. Teams like NO, NE, GB, etc, that are really pass heavy teams, shouldnt run 30+ times per game to only 25+ passes, which is what you see out of the team playbook a lot of times. You wont see the team specific playbook anymore, and teams will run generic plays, however, you see will a better run/pass ratio

if you use custom rosters, you will have no pre-existing injuries except Terrell Suggs in spite of whether you have them turned on or not
