Covering the TE

I always have a hard time covering the TE whether its online or against the cpu. Does shading even work against the TE's? I don't see a difference when I use it. I've noticed that whoever mans up with the TE never uses trail or streak techniques like they do against WR's. U can't jam the TE or chip him either. U can but u have to do it manually but the cpu should do it if u adjust to jam coverage. I always get beat one on one vs a decent TE. So how do u stop them?

You kinda hit the nail on the head. I've found that manually covering and jamming the TE works well. It's very hard to stop a good TE (which it should be), but it can be done.

You need to manually cover them. Don't try to play man to man with a linebacker against an elite right end either. Use zone coverage or man to man only if you have an insanely good cover safety. Manually jam them with the rb button too. Cover 6 can be your friend with coverage rolled towards the te.

You have to user control them. There are really only 3 routes you need to worry about. Streaks, Corners and Drags.
