Madden 12 - Can't get past second game

Simmed the first game, second game and cut three players without an issue...
Now I can't get any further. Won't let me sim anything. Seems to be 'stuck' or something?
I gave up on '13. Just an awful game with too many flaws. Making the switch back to 12 with up-to-date rosters.

Check and make sure you meet the roster requirements. If I recall correctly, Madden 12 has much stricter rules with regard to how many of each player you must have at each position, and the game won't let you advance unless you meet these requirements.

If you do meet these requirements, make sure the CPU does as well, the CPU roster management AI isn't the best in M12 (though better than in previous years).

It's the updated roster that's causing it. I deleted it and started with last years rosters (yuck) and everything's fine.
Now to figure out how to get current rosters working...
