WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in 1996 on NFL GameDay 97 for the first PlayStation, you could knock down the chain gang AND Cheerleaders if tackle was close to the sideline.

I mean, this was almost 17 years ago.

That's not true actually. The next gen graphics will be a lot closer to what we see on PC if not exactly what we see from most PC games.

NBA 2k13 on PC for example.

That's a great example, because that picture actually looks like in game footage, and not CGI, like the Madden trailer obviously was.
